Our History
Out of obedience and a direct call from God, Solomon’s Temple Ministries was born on October 3, 2012. The call of God was so powerful and strong, it led the visionary to begin ministering on street corners. After ministering on street corners, the followers began to increase. In February 2013, Solomon’s Temple Ministries began to have meetings at Dixie Drive Park where the pastor consistently ministered the word of God. After six months of meeting in the park, August 2013, a building became available. Solomon’s Temple Ministries was now meeting at a physical location, 650 Petro Point Drive in the city of Lake Charles. After carefully assessing the environment, Solomon’s Temple Ministries sought for other locations conducive to ministries objectives and growth.
Therefore, in September 2013, Bethel of Praise located on 6781 Tom Hebert Road in Lake Charles, opened their doors to the ministry. The Pastor of Bethel of Praise allowed Solomon’s Temple Ministries to rent the building in the evenings to hold their church meetings. In April 2014, Solomon’s Temple Ministries moved into another building located at 1803 Kirkman Street in Lake Charles, LA where they could hold their worship services in the daytime. The ministry met twice weekly and remained faithful in worship. As the ministry grew, this location became too small to house the growing membership. Again, Solomon’s Temple Ministries was granted another open door to house their congregation.
In July 2015, Solomon’s Temple Ministries relocated to 1917 Harless Street in the heart of Lake Charles. We remain faithful to the call of ministry and worship. We know that people are faced with real life situations and issues that can be detrimental to their livelihood; however, we here at Solomon’s Temple Ministries are compelled to help make a difference in the lives of people. We have made it a priority to invoke change in the lives of the people and the community that surrounds us.
In December 2021, Solomon’s Temple Ministries purchased their own building, including the entire block and a 3-bedroom house on the property. We currently reside at 2101 Sixth Street in the heart of Lake Charles. We remain faithful to the call of ministry and worship. We know that people are faced with real life situations and issues that can be detrimental to their livelihood; however, we here at Solomon’s Temple Ministries have made it a priority to invoke change in the lives of people and are also compelled to help make a difference in our surroundings.

We, the members of Solomon’s Temple Ministry are delighted to welcome you all to our services. We are so thankful for that you have graced us with your presence and also for the opportunity to worship with us together. We specifically wish to extend a warm welcome to any visitors that may have joined us for the first time. We want make you to feel at home with us and we invite you to come back again. We are a church that values fellowship, and we want you to feel like you are a part of the Solomon’s Temple Church family. We encourage you all to connect with others around you.
